The Range shoppers’ mind blown after discovering ‘hidden message’ in its logo
When you’re out shopping, it’s not often that you’ll take much notice of the name and logo of the store that you’re walking into.
But one shopper couldn’t believe her eyes when she visited her local The Range and noticed a ‘hidden message’ in its logo.
Posting on Facebook, the woman said: “So I blew my own mind today. I realised that the range has an R in an orange circle as their logo, but I can’t unsee it as saying anything other than orange now??
“Has it been called the orange all along and we’ve not noticed? Honestly, I am baffled. Someone please explain this to me and restore my faith in humanity.”
Since being posted, it has been shared more than 23,000 times by shocked shoppers.
Baffled that they hadn’t noticed the secret meaning themselves, one person said: “This is something I haven’t stopped thinking about since I saw this.”
“I have no explanation but you’ve now baffled my mind too”, wrote another.
A third user said: “That’s actually well annoyed me.”
While a fourth said: “Now I only see orange… that’s mad!!”
And one person joked: “You are kidding right? You know it’s Orange surely?
“They used to sell the phones until BT bought them out.”
After the woman unearthed the meaning, The Range was inundated with questions, so has taken to social media to clarify.
Sharing the shopper’s post, the store wrote: “We’ve received so many messages about this viral post,” before jokingly adding: “… it’s taken you all a while to notice.”
The Range then confirmed: “We do love the colour O-Range but all jokes aside we are officially called ‘The Range’.”
